How in the world did we get here?

I would not have believed you if you had told me back in 2018 that in 7 years I would have moved out of New York City and be living on a farm in Crewe, married to a childhood friend; that I would become a stepmother to 2 amazing kiddos and be in the process of re-launching my photography career in rural central Virginia. That's a much different pace of life than hailing taxi cabs and catching flights in the Big Apple. Thankfully, the pandemic slowed me down enough to recalibrate my priorities and find true love, and that has also expanded my photography interests as well.

When I started my photography journey, I was a single, fashion-loving gal living in New York City. Most of my photography centered around body positivity as my friends and I tried to change the world's beauty standards, one photo at a time. I can honestly say I think we have achieved our goal, since plus-sized women can be seen all over American beaches wearing two-piece swimsuits now with little consequence. Back in 2018 we caused quite a stir with a few images of just that subject matter, but that is a different blog post for another day.

Since falling in love with my husband back in the Spring of 2021, I crave even more depth, meaning, and connection in my work now. It's so incredibly rewarding and fulfilling to capture family moments filled with love, laughter, and warmth, which is why I can officially say I am addicted to wedding photography too! Capturing the first moment a father sees his daughter in her wedding dress, or the bride and groom stealing away for a quiet moment of prayer without catching a glimpse of each other moments before their ceremony- these have become core memories of my own, and I can't wait to add even more of them!

Session Availability

My Philosophy

My photography philosophy is simple- I want everyone to feel like they have tapped into their inner model by the time we are done with their session. Whether it is a fashion portfolio session, a family portrait session, an engagement shoot, or a wedding- I promise to bring out the best, most beautiful part of your soul and capture it in a memory forever in an image. I would love to be there for your special moments- the senior photos, the engagement, the wedding, the new house, the new business, and the new additions to the family.
